How to cancel Apple TV+

Step-by-step
On iPhone/iPad (fastest):
- Open Settings.
- Tap your name at the top → Subscriptions.
- Select Apple TV+.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
On Mac: App Store → click your name (bottom left) → Account Settings → Subscriptions → Manage → Apple TV+ → Cancel Subscription.
On the web: Sign in at tv.apple.com, open your account settings, and manage the subscription there. Apple routes you through its standard subscription management either way.
On Apple TV: Settings → Users & Accounts → [your name] → Subscriptions → Apple TV+ → Cancel Subscription.
Billing-specific instructions:
Apple TV+ is almost always billed by Apple directly, which is why there's one path. The exceptions:
- Apple One bundle: If your TV+ comes via Apple One, canceling Apple One ends TV+ along with Music, Arcade, iCloud+, and the rest. To keep the other services, look for the option to manage individual services (wording varies) rather than canceling the whole bundle. Think twice before touching anything tied to iCloud storage.
- Carrier or third-party bundle: Some mobile carriers bundle Apple TV+. If yours does, cancel through the carrier.
Traps to expect
- Free trials may end immediately. Apple says you may lose access to a free trial the moment you cancel, rather than at the end of the trial period. If you're on a trial, use it or lose it.
- The TV app has no cancel button. Searching the Apple TV app for subscription settings wastes your time. It's in the device Settings, not the app.
- Family Sharing: If you're the organizer sharing TV+ with family, canceling ends it for everyone on the share.
Retention offers
Apple doesn't do retention offers for TV+. No discount screens, no pause options. It cancels clean.
After you cancel
- Paid subscriptions generally run until the end of the current billing period.
- Free trials may terminate immediately on cancellation.
Coming back
Resubscribe through the Apple TV app or tv.apple.com. Note that a second free trial on the same Apple Account is generally not offered.
